Synopsis

"Ode to the Soil" is a reflective documentary that delves into the deep-rooted history of wrestling in Lahijan — a city whose mud-laden arenas and spirited youth have given rise to champions who have distinguished themselves on national and international stages. More than a chronicle of a proud past, this film serves as a bridge between generations — linking the legacy of seasoned wrestlers with the aspirations of the new. It is a testament to the enduring bond between tradition and hope, nurtured in the sacred soil of the Zurkhaneh pit.
