Synopsis

Alone with her sedated roommate Jeanie in a psychiatric ward, Annemerie, a sick young woman in her early twenties, spends the night eating everything in sight until it comes back up. She's chasing a release that never lasts. Between the hospital room and strange, performative cutaways, she narrates her own unraveling like a joke, keeping things light and cute, swerving away the moment anything gets too real, until Danie's name comes up and the performance finally cracks, and every apology she's owed and never given starts pressing at the door of the ward. Will she let them in, and can anything on the other side actually free her, or is she doomed to stay sick?
