Synopsis

Season 1

The first season of the Malayalam-language version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss was telecast on Asianet from 24 June 2018 to 30 September 2018, lasting 99 episodes. It was produced by Endemol Shine India and actor Mohanlal was the host of the show. The show follows a total of 18 contestants, who are isolated from the outside world for 98 days (or 14 weeks) in a custom built house. Each week, one or more of the housemates are evicted by a public vote.

Season 2

The second season of the Malayalam-language version of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss premiered on 5 January 2020. It was produced by Endemol Shine India and broadcast on Asianet. Mohanlal returned as the host. The show follows 22 contestants, who are isolated from the outside world for 105 days (or 15 weeks) in a custom built house. The house was situated at EVP Film City in Chennai, where 17 contestants entered on Day 1 and six joined later as wildcard entries. All housemates were public figures, such as film, television, music, radio, stage, and internet personalities, and models. The winner of the season received a flat worth ₹5 million (₹50 lakh) along with a trophy. The second season introduced an aftershow titled BB Cafe. On 20 March 2020, the show was stopped due to COVID-19.

The third season of the Indian Malayalam-language reality television game show Bigg Boss premiered on 14 February 2021. It is produced by Endemol Shine India under the control of Banijay and broadcast on Asianet with Mohanlal as the host. The show follows selected contestants who are isolated from the outside world for 112 days (or 16 weeks) in a custom-built house.

The fourth season of the Malayalam-language version of Indian reality television series Bigg Boss is produced by Endemol Shine India and Banijay and broadcast on Asianet along with a 24x7 deferred stream on Disney+ Hotstar OTT platform. The season is hosted by Mohanlal for the fourth consecutive year and launched on 27 March 2022

Bigg Boss Malayalam Season 5 aired from March 26, 2023, to July 2, 2023, on Asianet and streamed 24/7 on Disney+ Hotstar. Hosted by superstar Mohanlal, the season followed the theme "Battle of the Originals" and featured 18 diverse contestants, including a selected commoner entry for the first time. Movie director and writer Akhil Marar emerged as the title winner, taking home ₹50 lakh and a car, while TV actress Reneesha Rahiman finished as the runner-up.

Bigg Boss Malayalam (Season 6) is the sixth season of the Malayalam-language adaptation of the Indian reality television series Bigg Boss, produced by Endemol Shine India and Banijay.
