Their search leads them beyond the Empire's frontier to the legendary Ninth Horizon, where they uncover the last Archive of the First Civilization and the true origin of the Gateways. As ancient memories awaken, they encounter The Aetherion, a powerful intelligence preserving millions of years of history, and the Observers, cosmic beings determined to end the endless cycle of civilizations. With reality collapsing and history itself beginning to disappear, the crew must make an impossible choice between preserving the past or allowing the future to begin.
