The Heartland Series was created in 1984 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Many years and many episodes later, the mountains continue to inspire our storytelling. “More Stories from the Mountains” is a collection of episodes never before included on any DVD. This special volume captures the spirit of the people who lived and worked in these mountains as well as the wild creatures that inhabit them now. This DVD also contains a short documentary about the now-ended effort to return the endangered red wolf to the Smokies.
