Wedwood Chronicles and The Awakening

Orin Blackwood never belonged anywhere. He never got to take a vacation, or even go to the park with his parents. Instead, he lived in an orphanage, where the only thing he could do was look out the window and hope. Together, they explore and survive, but then the attacks begin. People start to notice that the shadows are lurking, and Orin is directly targeted.Once he returns to school with Lia and Jax, life becomes anything but ordinary. From dealing with his dragon to being dragged up into the sky by shadows, everything is spinning out of control. To make matters worse, he discovers he has living family members and a deeper past tied to the realm's leaders. On top of it all, he has to attend a formal ball with Lily, the girl he met at camp. Everything is spiraling out of control.

With the forest lurking and the monster awakening, Orin has to find these stones, and the only place is the Ashborn Ruins.

With the war now on, Jax finds something deeper in his bloodline, and Lia goes into hiding with Jax and Orin. Orin is now wanted by the shadow and to be killed. Lily goes missing, Orin goes into hiding, Lia is bound in her shadows, and Cassian is on the verge of choosing himself or the world. Jax fights for the bloodline, and Orin suspects he and Lia might be related in some way. From running through the forest, to fighting the shadows, to avenging his parents who might be alive, and to binding the grid, Orin must rely on everything... and nothing.

War rages, millions die. Orin needs to kill the Shadow King. Jax needs to hunt down Lia—he is meant to kill her, but deep down, he doesn't want to. Orin has to use the stones to kill the King. He needs multiple resources; he needs to find the fate of everyone. With people dying everyday and the Wedwood leaking into the normal world, Orin has to find something quickly. Lia and Jax fight in the war. Orin drowns in his duties, and one thing is for sure: this is the final battle.

Wedwood Chronicles Don't Wish On a Star

The finale to the saga of the Wedwood Chronicles comes to an end with the phenomenal piece: Lia ran away. Jax and Orin need to hunt her down—everyone does. Lia is a hostage mentally, not in the right place, and needs to be brought to Wedwood. Meanwhile, Lia has made it her life's goal to get as far away from her past as possible, leaving her 19 years of life behind. While the battle erupts and the search team falls into Lia's traps, they must choose. Orin is down to his final life in this world, and he knows that it can't be spent wishing on a star.
